A valid credit card is required to secure a reservation, we cannot accept cash or check.
Refundable Rates: No deposit is required at time of booking. Three (3) days prior to your arrival, the entire value of your stay will be charged to the payment method you provided at time of booking.
Non-refundable Rates: A 100% deposit is required at time of booking to secure your reservation.
Refundable Rates: In the event you need to cancel, please contact us 3+ days from arrival, and you may change or cancel your reservation with no penalty.

All rates for King rooms are per room, per night, double occupancy. All double Queen rooms are per room, per night, quadruple occupancy. All rooms are subject to Maine rooms tax (currently 9%). King rooms cannot accommodate more than two (2) guests.
We're dog friendly! Dogs weighing under 50 pounds can be accommodated in our pet friendly hotel for an additional $20 per night, per dog. Please read below to learn more:
• We have a limited number of pet-friendly rooms, you are able to book these rooms on our online booking engine or by calling us directly at (207) 616-0832. When booking online, please ensure you book a "pet friendly" rate for either one or two dogs. When booking by phone, please be sure to advise our team you will be bringing dogs.
• Please keep your pets on a leash at all times around the exterior of our property.
• Pets won’t be permitted in the breakfast area, due to health code regulations.
• We ask that if you walk your pet around the surrounding neighborhood that you clean up completely after your pet.
• Guests are responsible for all property damages and/or personal injuries resulting from their pet.
• Guests agree to indemnify and hold harmless the hotel, its owners and its operator from all liability and damage suffered as a result of the guest’s pet.
• Violation of this policy could result in fees due to damages or claims by any third parties disturbed by your pet.
• The hotel reserves the right to charge guest’s account commensurate to the cost of such damages.
• To ensure the safety of other guests and staff, your dog must have all legally required core vaccinations.
Check in time is 4:00 PM. Early check-in may be provided based on same day availability. Please contact Guest Services in advance if you require a late arrival after 11:00 PM.

To ensure a smooth check-in experience and protect against damages, The Elmwood requires a valid credit or debit card at check-in for all reservations. A temporary hold (pre-authorization) will be placed on the card in accordance with the following policy:
Pre-authorizations will be applied to guests based on the following criteria:
Pre-Authorization Amount: A hold will be placed on the card for $150 per stay to cover incidental charges and damages.This hold is not a charge, but the funds may be unavailable for use during your stay, depending on your card provider.
Release of Funds: Pre-authorization holds are released within 3-7 business days of check-out, depending on your financial institution. The Elmwood is not responsible for bank processing times.
Exceptions: Repeat guests with a positive stay history, corporate accounts with prior approval, or direct bookings under certain rate plans may be exempt from pre-authorization at the discretion of hotel management.
Non-Compliance: Failure to provide a valid payment method for pre-authorization at check-in may result in cancellation of your reservation.
